My Favorite Winter Fashion Trends of 2020
Winter is nipping at my friggin’ heels so I am back with a style round-up of my favorite winter trends- hope you enjoy! xx
Leather on Leather, Baby!
If dominatrix-chic were a thing, this is the time for it! We want leather trousers, leather coats, contrasting and monochrome - it’s all fair game! Pro-tip: Try avoiding thinner leather-esque fabrics as they may come off looking cheap. The heavier the fabric, the closer to God. They tend to come off more expensive and quality, that’s the tea.
Bright Colored Suits -- YAS!
The wear brights year-round trend has taken a monochromatic turn with bold, in-your-face colorful power suits this season! She’s serving winter rose, winter sunflower, and gosh darn it, ever evergreen from H2T! I don’t own a suit yet, but I have taken out this vintage sunshine yellow longline coat for these chillier days!
All Brown Everything
Brown is a timeless and crucial staple in the colder months. I am especially seeing PU (polyurethane) brown coats everywhere. Not too keen on these guys for the environment, but there are tons - and I mean it when I say TONS of PU fabric - at your local charity shop. Go there now before your thrifty sis gets to it first! ;)
Naturally Neutral
If you want to play it safe, neutrals will always trend 365 days a year, but especially in the colder months! Try to keep things playful--balance cozy knits and deconstructed trenches, and keep everything in the same neutral tan/brown palette.
I’ll Have A Blue Christmas, Without Blue
Notice pops of blue in accessories? Well you’re not the only one! Blue should be the winter mascot because she is here sis and she has come to slay! Some style ideas include only a pop of blue as a focal point. Mix up neutrals with a pair of soft blue trousers, or perhaps a light blue bootie or bag.
